Milk is free for children under 5 and subsidised for children aged 5 to 11. School uses Cool Milk to provide milk for the children, however it must be ordered by the parents or carers, if you would like your child to have milk you can use the quick link to Coolmilk.com on this page or on the Home page to order it.  If your child is unable to drink milk please let us know and water will be provided.

All Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children receive a free piece of fruit or vegetable as a snack each day.

At morning break time there is a healthy tuck shop in Key Stage 2 where children can purchase items.  Key Stage 2 pupils are also able to bring a piece of fruit with them to school as a morning snack, however we ask parents not to send in any other types of snack.

As our school strives to encourage children to be healthy we ask families to think carefully about what is given to their child in their packed lunch.  We discourage sugary drinks or sweets from being included. We are able to provide advice on healthy lunches to parents.

School meals are cooked in our own kitchen; there is a choice of items for each course, including a vegetarian option. Meals have been carefully planned and prepared for nutritional value.

As the cost of a school meal may be subject to change, information is given to families via ParentMail, school's communications system.

All Foundation Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 children are currently entitled to have a free school meal if they choose to under the Universal Free School Meals system introduced by the Government in 2014.

For Key Stage 2 children who choose to have a school meal we use ParentMail to accept payment on line. Please use the quick link https://www.parentmail.co.uk/. Any further information including the initial activation details you need to register, is provided by the Admin Team in the school office.  We operate a cashless system apart from the Key Stage 2 tuck shop.

If your child is entitled to free school meals, you have to apply for them via the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council’s website www.stockport.gov.uk/benefits. Visit the website then click on ‘free school meals’. Information is also available at all Council Information Centres and Libraries.

Meadowbank works closely with TLC who are our school meals provider, further information can be found using the following web link; http://www.totallylocalcompany.co.uk/our-services/education-catering/
